Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy

CST I provides students with a solid theoretical and experiential foundation. The class emphasizes the interactions of the CranioSacral, fascial and energetic systems of the body. Through lecture, story telling, demonstrations and guided hands-on practice, you will learn how to identify restrictions in the body and master the techniques to release these restrictions. Techniques covered include: releasing diaphragms, joint unwinding, sacral base release, dural tube release, stillpoint and assessing and releasing cranial membranes and bones. By the end of the weekend, you will be able to work on clients and effectively address most conditions.This class is part of a four class series. It can be taken alone or as part of the series.
PREREQUISITE
No prerequisites or requirements. The class is open to all who wish to learn this technique. You do not have to be a bodyworker to take this class. If you are not familiar with much anatomy, it may be helpful to learn some of the anatomical landmarks we will be using in class beforehand. Click here for the list.
After CranioSacral I is completed, our other classes may be taken in any order.

CERTIFICATION
Certification is available after completion of CranioSacral l-lV, 50 hours of documented work with clients, receiving 10 one-hour treatments, and passing a written and practical examination.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
This seminar is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB) for 23 continuing education credits. NCBTMB #450308-06.
